what is ceramic coating? how does it work?

Ceramic coating is a safe, semi-permanent to permanent surface application designed to provide long-lasting protection of your vehicle or boat’s surfaces, as well as enhance their appearance. This state-of-the-art product has been specially formulated and engineered to bond with the existing surface to increase durability, gloss, and effectively shield against minor scratching, staining, UV damage, and common environmental contaminants that cause oxidation, premature aging, swirling and marring.

Unlike traditional waxes and sealants, ceramic coating cannot be rubbed, wiped or washed off, and can only be removed by abrasion. The protective benefits also last substantially longer. Once applied, rain will bead on the surface of your car or boat and simply 'glide' off. Dirt, salt, bugs and contaminants will rinse right off. Even ice is prevented from adhering to the surface of your vehicle, making winter maintenance a breeze. This protective coating is also UV resistant which will ensure your paint finish lasts longer, maintaining that high-end shine.

  • The process of applying a ceramic coating usually take between 1-5 days depending on the size of your vehicle or boat, the condition of your paint, and the package you select. The first step is to wash and prep the surface of your vehicle or boat. The next step is to correct all the imperfections in the paint such as swirls and scratches. Once the vehicle is properly prepped, a body shop safe prep solvent will be applied to the entire vehicle to get to bare paint. At this stage the coating process will begin, and each panel of the vehicle will have ceramic applied, leveled, and stacked to achieve the desired result based on the package you have selected.

  • You should wait 10-14 days before the first wash to allow the solvents to outgas and the coating to fully cure. If you notice that your car gets water spots, bird droppings, tree sap etc. during these two weeks immediately remove it following our care instructions. Keep in mind the coating is softer, so work on the paint very gently.

  • All you need is a mild soap and water - no harsh chemicals, solvents, or clay bar needed. Even a simple glass cleaner or no-rinse wash will work to quickly and easily maintain your coating.
